It’s honestly frustrating to see US foreign policy cave to corporate trade interests over supporting democracy and self-determination for Taiwan—solidarity shouldn’t be negotiable.

Once again, we see how communist China bullies everyone into submission, and our leaders cave instead of standing up for freedom and our allies.

Honestly, this just proves once again that Taiwan can’t rely on the US when push comes to shove—they’ll always put their own interests and Beijing’s feelings first. We’re always told we have US support, but when it matters, they just toss us aside as a bargaining chip in their trade games. It’s ridiculous that our president can’t even do a simple stopover in New York because China throws a tantrum. This kind of appeasement only encourages Beijing to squeeze us harder. Taiwan deserves real respect and recognition, not to be shut out of the world stage every time China snaps its fingers.
